Levodopa is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease.

How it Works

Levodopa works by being converted into dopamine, a chemical messenger essential for controlling movement through the transmission of signals in the brain.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Levodopa include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, loss of appetite, orthostatic hypotension (sudden drop in blood pressure upon standing), and akathisia (inability to remain still).
